Locum Tenens General Surgeon

About the role

General Surgeon with experience in inpatient and outpatient care, including trauma, pediatric, and adult cases.

Responsibilities

• Cover 10 on‑call shifts per month, including clinic and elective cases.
• Perform procedures such as laparoscopic surgeries (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty), GI endoscopy (upper, lower, sigmoidoscopy), and general surgeries.
• Admit patients, perform rounds, and manage hospital privileges.

Qualifications

• Proven hospital privileges.
• Proficiency in general, laparoscopic, and GI procedures.

Skills

• Preferred skills in chest wall, breast, hand surgery, and ventilation management.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.

Key Duties

Provide comprehensive surgical care, including admissions, rounding, and elective procedures, with a focus on patient safety and quality care; maintain compliance with hospital policies.
