Locum Tenens General Surgeon

This role involves on-call only coverage in a hospital setting with responsibilities including 3-5 ER admits per day1-2 surgeries per shift and procedures such as bowel, colon, hernia repairs, appendectomies, and scopes (no trauma). Candidates must have ACLS certification. Key duties include managing patient admissions and performing surgical procedures within the scope of practice. Qualifications include relevant medical licensing and experience in surgical procedures. Skills required are clinical expertise in general surgery, ability to work independently, and good communication. Compensation ranges from $150 to $200 hourly, with paid malpractice, pre-paid travel and housing, and online assignment management. Includes 24-hour access to a dedicated healthcare consultant.
