Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist

This role involves providing both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services, including upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and esophageal dilatation. Responsibilities include performing 10-14 procedures daily across various settings, with a focus on procedural care. Qualifications require experience in GI procedures; liver biopsy skills are preferred, while ERCP and EUS are not performed. Key duties include credentialing, maintaining high-quality patient care, and adapting to a rotating provider schedule. Ideal candidates are flexible with a week on/week off schedule, with a preference for one clinic day and four procedure days.
