Locum Tenens Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

About the role

This is an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) position specializing in cardiology, providing inpatient care in a facility located in Asheville, NC.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on cardiology patients and performing admissions, consults, discharges, and procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, and cardioversions.
• Ordering medications, tests, and procedures as needed.
• Collaborating with support teams including Hospitalist Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonary Critical Care, and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Requirements

• Active NC license and NC DEA required.
• Prescriptive authority necessary.
• Board certification is negotiable.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically Cerner, is preferred.

Schedule

• Day shifts.
• No call requirement.
• On-site work.
