Locum Tenens Cardiologist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner for inpatient cardiology coverage in a 99-bed department. This role focuses solely on inpatient care and rounds, without involvement in invasive procedures or outpatient cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient cardiology rounding, both attending and consulting
• Echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and STEMI case management
• Manage 15-20 patients per shift with independent NP support
• Provide ICU coverage
• Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes

Requirements

• Experience in cardiology procedures and inpatient care

• Strong clinical knowledge
• Independence in practice
• Effective communication

Pay

Compensation ranges from $250 to $350 per hour, inclusive of base pay, overtime, and call pay.
