About the role
VCA East Bay Veterinary Emergency is seeking an RVT or experienced ER assistant to join their team on a relief basis. This is a part-time position working when needed, mostly swing or overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
- Experience in venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Radiology
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
- CPR
Requirements
Required experience:
- Experienced and skilled in venipuncture
- Experienced and skilled in catheter placement
- Experienced and skilled in radiology
- Experienced and skilled in anesthesia monitoring
- Experienced and skilled in physical examinations and patient assessment
- Experienced and skilled in surgical preparation and assisting
- Experienced and skilled in laboratory work
- Experienced and skilled in pharmacy
- Experienced and skilled in patient recovery
- Experienced and skilled in CPR
Qualifications
Credentials Required: Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Skills
Must have the following skills:
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
