About the role
A psychiatrist is needed for locum tenens assistance in North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Treatment of 12-15 patients per day in an outpatient setting at a VA hospital
- Conduct 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups
- Participate in resident-assisted rounds when on rotation
- Optional weekend inpatient rounding every 6 weeks
Requirements
- Addiction/SUD experience required
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
- Current NC medical license
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comprehensive malpractice insurance, including tail insurance

Schedule
The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with all federal holidays off.
