Locum | Physician Psychiatry

About the role

A psychiatrist is needed for locums assistance in Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to 15 - 20 adult patients per shift in an 8 am – 5 pm 8-hour schedule with weekend call coverage.
• Treat general behavioral health issues in a 48-bed facility.
• Experience with anxiety, affective, ADD/ADHD, and personality disorders is required.
• Familiarity with involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy is necessary.
• Group therapy and family therapy experience are required.
• Knowledge of ECT and pharmacotherapy is needed.

Requirements

• Current license to practice psychiatry in Indiana.
• At least 3 years of experience in adult behavioral health.
• Experience with involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy.
• Knowledge of ECT and pharmacotherapy.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board certification in Psychiatry.

Skills

• Experience with anxiety, affective, ADD/ADHD, and personality disorders.
• Knowledge of involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy.
• Group therapy and family therapy experience.
• Knowledge of ECT and pharmacotherapy.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday – Sunday 14 days on / 14 days off rotation with 8 am – 5 pm 8-hour shifts.
