Locum | Physician Psychiatry

About the role

Inpatient adult psychiatry unit coverage is required, including support with midlevel providers and coverage for permanent psychiatrist recruitment.

Consults in the emergency department and medical floors are necessary, along with participation in treatment team meetings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10 AM.

Responsibilities

• See 10-12 patients daily, including 1-2 consults
• Provide coverage for permanent psychiatrist recruitment
• Assist with inpatient adult psychiatry unit coverage
• Support midlevel providers
• Participate in treatment team meetings
• Conduct consults in the emergency department and medical floors

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A current medical license
• At least 3 years of experience in adult psychiatry
• Experience with inpatient psychiatry settings
• Ability to work a 7 on/7 off schedule, Monday through Sunday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Board certification in psychiatry
• Experience with probate court coverage, including court hearings
