Locum | Physician Psychiatry

About the role

A Facility in IN is searching for a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist to work Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with up to 16 patients per day depending on census. The position involves general adult psychiatry inpatient settings with possible consults, and includes one off-site overnight call via telephone per week.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of patients in a hospital setting
• Consultation with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Assessment and treatment planning for patients
• Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Completion of necessary documentation and reports

Requirements

• Hospital privileges required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current medical license in good standing
• At least 3 years of psychiatric clinical experience
