Locum | Physician Psychiatry

About the role

A psychiatrist is needed for locum tenens help in Wisconsin. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with 8-hour days. The workload includes seeing 10 to 14 adult and geriatric patients daily in an outpatient setting where a significant portion of the caseload is geriatric patients. The team of therapists conducts competency evaluations before each provider visit. There is a 1 in 4 call rotation for phone-based medical management from 7 pm to 8 am.

Responsibilities

• See adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting
• Conduct competency evaluations for new providers
• Participate in a 1 in 4 call rotation for phone-based medical management
• Treat 10 to 14 patients per day

Requirements

• Current medical license in Wisconsin
• Geriatric psychiatry experience preferred
• Experience with telemedicine

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of geriatric psychiatry

Pay

The pay is commensurate with experience.
