Locum | Physician Psychiatry

About the role

A Psychiatrist is needed for locum tenens help in GA. Onsite rounding from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 24-hour remote call on weekends. 12 – 16 patients seen per call shift. Specializes in anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, and organic disorders. Experience with involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy is preferred, along with ECT, pharmacotherapy, and group/family therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Onsite rounding from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 24-hour remote call on weekends
• See 12 – 16 patients per call shift
• Work in an inpatient acute psychiatric unit and long-term psychiatric facility
• Specialize in treating anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, and organic disorders
• Experience with involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy preferred
• Experience with ECT, pharmacotherapy, and group/family therapy preferred

Requirements

• Current medical license in good standing
• At least 3 years of experience as a Psychiatrist
• Experience with involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy preferred
• Experience with ECT, pharmacotherapy, and group/family therapy preferred

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
