Locum | Physician Psychiatry

About the role

Inpatient adult psychiatry unit focused on acute psychiatric care, including anxiety, affective, and psychotic disorders. This is an ongoing assignment with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 am–4:00 pm (7.5-hour shift), seeing 12–14 patients per shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage acute psychiatric cases (anxiety, affective, psychotic disorders).
• Handle involuntary commitments and restraint application.
• Provide pharmacotherapy and lead group therapy sessions.

Requirements

• Experience with involuntary commitments and restraint application.
• Familiarity with pharmacotherapy and group therapy.
• Forensic background is a plus.
