Locum | Physician Psychiatry

About the role

- 7:30 am – 5 pm, no call
- 8 – 15 patients per day
- 30-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit
- 1 – 3 med/surg consults daily in main hospital
- Split census with another psychiatrist or nurse practitioner
- Court hearings held Wednesdays at facility
- Daily treatment team meetings at 8:15 am
- Adolescent crisis and inpatient experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with patients and families
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in court hearings as needed
• Attend daily treatment team meetings

Requirements

• Current medical license in good standing
• Experience in adult inpatient behavioral health preferred
• Experience with adolescent crisis and inpatient settings preferred

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board certification in Psychiatry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
