Locum | Physician Pathology

About the role

A Facility in Texas is seeking a locum tenens pathologist to work on a M-F, 8 am - 5 pm schedule. The position requires 2 - 3 weeks of coverage per month and involves 30 - 40 cases per day. It is a hospital-based surgical path, GI, GU, breast, non-GYN cytology, and skin position (with some hemopath possible), and does not involve frozen or grossing. The adult patient population is served.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret diagnostic pathology specimens
• Prepare and review slides for microscopic examination
• Provide consultation services as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
• May assist with teaching and training

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Surgical Pathology
• Current Texas medical license
• Experience with GI, GU, breast, non-GYN cytology, and skin pathology
• No frozen or grossing required
