Locum | Physician Pathology

About the role

A Facility in Georgia is looking for a locum tenens pathologist to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no call or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform general surgical pathology cases, including GI, GU, and breast specimens.
• Handle non-gynecological cytology cases.
• Manage approximately 2 to 5 non-gynecological cases per day.
• Treat around 35 to 45 surgical cases daily.
• Work in a hospital-based setting.
• No autopsies, bone marrow examinations, or grossing required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• An MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology.
• At least one year of recent, relevant experience in a hospital-based setting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate medical licensure and certifications.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
