About the role

Average 20 patients per shift for neurosurgery consultative service.

Stroke certified facility.

General neurosurgery adult, trauma, tumors, and spinal surgery required.

VPshunt and ICP monitor placement required.

Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation — cervical, thoracic, lumbar.

Adult population only — pediatric and neonate not required.

Call ratio: 1/5.

• Board-certified in Neurosurgery.
• Experience with VPshunt and ICP monitor placement.
• Experience with spinal surgery with and without instrumentation — cervical, thoracic, lumbar.
• Experience with adult population only — pediatric and neonate not required.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong surgical skills.

Schedule

1 weekend per month — Friday 7am through Monday 7am (24-hour on-call).
