Locum | Physician Neurological Surgery
About the role
A Missouri facility is seeking a locum tenens Neurosurgeon to provide coverage for 1 weekend per month (Friday 7 am – Monday 7 am), with 24-hour on-call shifts at a call ratio of 1:5. The position involves handling 1 to 2 admissions per call and performing 6 to 18 phone consults per 24 hours. Responsibilities include general neurosurgery (adult) with trauma and tumor cases, spinal surgery with and without instrumentation, VP shunt placement, ICP monitor placement, and external traction application.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a current Missouri medical license and be board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery. Experience with spinal surgery, VP shunt placement, ICP monitor placement, and external traction application is preferred.
