Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver prompt, thorough medical evaluations and stabilize patients with various emergencies.
  • Perform diagnostic assessments, including physical exams and ordering tests like X-rays and CT scans.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including emergency procedures such as suturing and wound care.
  • Prescribe medications, manage pain, and coordinate care with healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Remain calm and professional in high-pressure environments, demonstrating strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications And Skills

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school with board certification in emergency, internal, or family medicine.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the practice state.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and resource management skills.
  • Ability to perform emergency procedures and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Minimum of one year of emergency department experience preferred.

This Role Involves

  • Providing scheduled shifts without call obligations, typically 5 days of 8 hours each.
  • Working in an acute care hospital environment, addressing a diverse range of urgent medical needs.
