Locum | Physician Hematology Oncology

About the role

A locum tenens hematologist/oncologist is needed for 12-15 patient days per week at an Oregon facility. The position involves Monday through Friday clinic coverage from 8 am to 5 pm. There are no acute leukemia treatments, and interventional radiologists handle bone marrow biopsies. Hospital privileges and ACLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Manage patient referrals and consultations
• Handle bone marrow biopsies under the supervision of interventional radiologists

Requirements

• Hospital privileges
• American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification in Hematology and/or Oncology
• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of recent relevant experience
• Experience with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Excellent communication skills

Pay

The pay for this locum tenens position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Schedule
