Locum | Physician Hematology Oncology

About the role

A hematologist/oncologist is needed for locum tenens help in Iowa. The position involves outpatient clinic work, including adult patients aged 18 and older. Hospitalists manage inpatients with a low hospital census. The schedule includes Monday through Thursday clinic days from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with 8-hour shifts and 2+ weeks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults and follows up with patients
• Oversight of antineoplastic treatments

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board certification in hematology and/or oncology
• Current medical license in Iowa

Qualifications

• Experience with adult patients
• Outpatient clinic setting expertise

Schedule

Call Schedule

There is one week and one weekend call per month, involving phone calls only.
