Locum | Physician Hematology Oncology

About the role

Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm schedule
1:4 call schedule
15 – 18 patients per day with 2 – 4 new consults
Both inpatient and outpatient work
30% hematology, 70% oncology case mix
100% adult patient population

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with healthcare providers
• Treat both inpatient and outpatient patients
• Manage a caseload of 15 – 18 patients daily
• Handle 2 – 4 new consults daily
• Work with a 1:4 call schedule
• Manage a 30% hematology, 70% oncology case mix

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Hematology / Oncology
• At least 3 years of post-certification experience

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong clinical skills
• Ability to manage a high caseload

Skills

• Effective negotiation skills
• Experience with credentialing and privileging processes
• Knowledge of online assignment portals
