About the role
A locums General Surgeon is needed in La Porte, IN.
Responsibilities
- Friday – Monday, 7 am – 7 am (72-hour shift)
- Call only coverage — mostly weekend shifts
- 5 – 10 patients per shift; 1 – 3 admissions per call period
- Inpatient rounding required
- Adult and pediatric general surgery experience required
- Laparoscopic surgery: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty
- Head/neck, breast, liver, and chest wall/pleural procedures required
- Gastrointestinal endoscopy: upper, lower, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy required
Qualifications
- Adult and pediatric general surgery experience required
