Locum | Physician General Surgery

Job Summary

Burn Surgery

Call only coverage with beeper call and 30-minute response time
Approximately 20 patients per shift
Level 3 trauma center
Laparoscopic surgery including appendectomy and cholecystectomy
GI endoscopy procedures required
Chest tube and central line insertion skills needed
Vascular surgery including aneurysm repairs required
Adult and trauma surgery experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform burn surgeries including debridement, grafting, and reconstruction
• Manage burn patients in a Level 3 trauma center setting
• Conduct laparoscopic appendectomy and cholecystectomy procedures
• Perform GI endoscopy procedures as needed
• Insert chest tubes and central lines as necessary
• Perform vascular surgery procedures such as aneurysm repairs
• Treat adult and trauma surgery cases

Requirements

• Experience in burn surgery
• Experience with laparoscopic surgery including appendectomy and cholecystectomy
• Experience with GI endoscopy procedures
• Experience with chest tube and central line insertion
• Experience with vascular surgery including aneurysm repairs
• Experience with adult and trauma surgery

Qualifications

• Medical degree
• Board certification in surgery
• Current medical license
