Locum | Physician Gastroenterology

About the role

A gastroenterologist is needed for locums coverage in Lawrence, KS. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a mix of clinic and endoscopy work, with a focus on endoscopy. The workload is approximately 10-12 patients per day, with up to 2 days of clinic work per week and 10 call days per month plus weekend call.

Responsibilities

• Perform ERCP and esophageal manometry procedures
• Scoping in the endoscopy lab with up to 2 days of clinic work per week
• Assist with general gastrointestinal services
• Experience with SBCE or EUS is preferred but not required
• Required to have hospital privileges

Requirements

• Hospital privileges required
• Full-time preferred; part-time candidates considered

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified or board-eligible in gastroenterology
• Current DEA license

Skills

• ERCP and esophageal manometry skills
• SBCE or EUS experience (a plus)
