Locum | Physician Gastroenterology

About the role

A gastroenterologist is needed for locum tenens support in a hospital setting in Lakewood, Colorado. The position offers 24/7 call coverage, with shifts ending the following morning at 7am. The schedule includes 8 to 10 consults per day and 5 to 8 endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and/or extracorporeal ultrasound endoscopy (EUS) procedures per day.

Responsibilities

• Perform ERCP and EUS procedures
• Treat patients with GI bleeding
• Manage consults
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Current medical license in good standing
• ACLS certification
• Experience with colonoscopy and GI bleed management

Qualifications

• Board-certified in gastroenterology
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
