Locum Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

About the role

Provide pediatric clinical care for patients aged 6-21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and complex mental health needs within a family-based care model. Manage an estimated caseload of 15-20 patients daily, working autonomously with support from a full behavioral health staff team.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized pediatric mental health care
• Manage a caseload of 15-20 patients
• Collaborate with behavioral health staff
• Complete onboarding, including onsite orientation, credentialing, fingerprinting, and drug screening within 10 days
• Maintain clinical documentation and compliance with prescriptive authority regulations
• Deliver care during structured day shifts with scheduling flexibility

Requirements

• Active Virginia clinical license
• Pediatric clinical experience
• BLS certification
• Prescriptive authority
• Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
• Strong organizational and patient management skills
