Locum OBGYN
About the role
This role is in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in Wisconsin, and requires a Wisconsin License, IMLC, or Act 10. The schedule consists of clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm, with a weeknight and weekend call rotation.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include providing care in both clinic and call settings, with skills required in areas such as low-risk pregnancy, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, routine and complicated deliveries, and surgical gynecology procedures.
- Low risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
- OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation - Level I/Screening (viability)
- Routine delivery - Vaginal - Low forceps - Decision-making for c-section
- Complicated delivery - C-section - Breech - Multiple births - Abruptions
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
- Surgical gynecology - Open - Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation - Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's
Requirements
- Wisconsin License or IMLC or Act 10
- BLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation certifications
Work Environment
The selected candidate can expect to see 20-25 clinic patients per day and 1-6 hospital patients. Support staff includes 1 RN, 1 APP, and 2 MAs. Credentialing timeframe is 90 days.
