Locum Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician

About the role

Seeking a Locum OBGYN for an ongoing role near Chester, VA. The practice setting includes a 9-bed L&D, 20 postpartum beds, with a practice of 4 physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-based obstetric and gynecological care, including deliveries (vaginal and C-section), suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and abnormal bleeding
• Manage both hospital deliveries and rounding for unreferred patients
• Support staff includes OB hospitalists, surgical assistants, and nurses
• Cover both hospital call and potential clinic duties (no night call after clinic days)

Qualifications

• Board-certified in OB/GYN
• Active VA license
• VA DEA & CSR
• ABOG certification
• BLS
• Must be willing to cover both hospital and clinic shifts
