Locum General Surgeon

About the role

This position requires a board-certified general surgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage in an operating room setting, handling both routine and emergency procedures. The surgeon will work on a 1:4 call ratio, supported by surgical PAs and techs, with a case load of approximately 20 RVU/day. Prescriptive authority is necessary, and the role involves on-site work serving patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgeries, including emergency and routine procedures
• Manage patient consultations
• Document all patient care using the EPIC EMR system
