About the role
Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare team in De Pere, WI 54115.
Schedule
- 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Location: De Pere, WI 54115
- Job Type: Travel contract
- Contract Length: 14 weeks
Pay
- $18/hr to $21.65/hr
- Weekly gross pay is based on a taxable hourly wage and daily lodging and meals & incidentals stipends based on USA GSA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections using straight and butterfly needles.
- Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures.
- Verify patient information, physician orders, requisitions, and specimen labels for accuracy.
- Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
- Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage, temperature, transportation, and handling protocols.
- Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, recordkeeping, and patient information updates.
- Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and complete required annual department training.
- Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as appropriate.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with both adult and pediatric patients required.
