Locum General Surgeon

Seeking a physician to provide locum tenens coverage with responsibilities including adult trauma surgery and general surgical procedures such as laparoscopic surgeries, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernia repair. Key duties: Perform trauma surgery on adult patientsConduct GI endoscopy procedures, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and laser treatmentsHandle approximately 5 patients per shift, including 2 admissionsProvide holiday coverage as neededParticipate in assigned shifts with a 30-minute call response time Qualifications and certifications required: Trauma surgery experience for adult patientsATLS and ACLS certificationsGI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and laser certificationScopes experience preferred but not mandatory Skills and additional information: Strong communication and response skillsPaid malpractice insurance, pre-paid travel and housing expensesAssignment details managed via online portalCompetitive compensation and 24-hour consultant access
