Locum General Surgeon

Role Overview: This position requires a Board-Certified General Surgeon to provide on-site trauma and general surgery coverage at a Level III Trauma Center. Key Responsibilities: Perform general surgery and trauma procedures, round on 8-10 inpatients, and handle 4-5 surgeries per shift. Maintain continuous availability for scheduled and emergent cases, with clinical documentation completed via the EMR system. Provide 24-hour call coverage primarily during long weekends, ensuring quality surgical care throughout each shift. Qualifications & Skills: Active state or Compact license, Board Certification in General Surgery, prescriptive authority, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS. Ability to handle a diverse patient population across all ages and work effectively in an on-site clinical environment.
