Locum Emergency Veterinarian

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in August, GA is seeking Emergency (ER) Locum Veterinarians to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside an internal medicine specialist, cardiologist, oncologist, and surgeon to ensure the highest standard of medical excellence for pets and the community.
• Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and perform life-saving procedures.
• Contribute to a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team of specialists.
• Provide expert care to critically ill or injured pets.
• Engage with pet owners compassionately, providing clear communication on medical conditions and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Georgia.
• Experience in emergency medicine is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Georgia.
• At least one year of emergency medicine experience preferred.
