Emergency Veterinarian Locum

About the role

Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center is seeking a Per Diem Emergency Veterinarian to join their comprehensive advanced care veterinary hospital in Bedford Hills, NY. They serve Westchester County and surrounding areas with easy access to the Hudson Valley and New York City. The hospital provides full-service medical services including emergency, critical care, internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, cardiology, dentistry, oncology, dermatology, behavior, diagnostic imaging, and more.

Responsibilities

• See and treat a variety of emergency cases
• Provide daytime, swing, or overnight medical oversight to ICU, post-operative, and critical care patients
• Work closely with a highly trained Technical staff to support the emergency caseload
• Use superior medical judgment, empathy, confidence, and humility to save pets' lives
• Contribute ideas and suggestions to help the hospital grow and foster a culture of mutual respect and adaptability

Requirements

• Positive, motivated, and able to develop the department
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York
• Experience in emergency and critical care preferred

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York

$200 hourly, Overnight $250 hourly
