The Location Support Specialist is a customer-facing team member who provides superior service by stocking and managing vendor-managed inventory on-site at various locations. This role ensures vendor-managed inventory areas are clean, safe, organized, and labeled correctly while maintaining accurate inventory levels in the vendor-managed inventory software.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stocks weekly and emergency replenishment shipments.
- Inspects weekly replenishment shipments to ensure correct quantities and products have arrived on-site.
- Completes inventory cycle counts on a weekly or quarterly basis to ensure accurate inventory levels are reflected in the vendor-managed inventory software.
- Maintains vendor-managed inventory areas to be clean, safe, organized, and labeled accurately according to company standards.
- Resolves on-site customer issues promptly and accurately to retain and promote customer loyalty.
- Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and identify/resolve on-site issues.
- Interacts with customers (face-to-face) to discuss their on-site needs and forwards these needs to the sales team.
- Communicates regularly with the sales team and customers as needed.
- Takes personal ownership for meeting established individual and team metrics and company standards.
- Completes administrative tasks on non-scheduled stock days (up to 2 hours per week).
- Indirectly responsible for product quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 2+ years of customer service experience is required.
- Inventory management experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
- Must be willing to travel to customer sites in the designated area.
- Must pass a background clearance and drug screening.
- Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with customers and the sales team professionally in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Computer literate and able to navigate required software programs, including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook.
- Stockroom experience is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (TestEquity does not sponsor applicants for work visas).
