Location Sales Support Specialist - Three Rivers FS - Elkader, IA

Purpose And Summary Statement

The purpose of this position is to help maximize profitable sales of assigned products, programs, and services. Work closely with sales staff to establish sales opportunities and long-term relationships. Ensure customers receive products and are invoiced in a timely, efficient manner.

Essential Job Functions

• Aid Agronomists with agronomic plans, order and data entry.
• Perform billing functions, including making blend tickets and invoicing customers.
• Maintain a perpetual inventory of all products.
• Onboard myFS Agronomy app to customers.
• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results.
• Have awareness of customer programs to meet growers’ needs (i.e., Agri-Finance).
• Complete sales and contact management reports on key accounts.
• Attain and maintain all skills required for the position.
• Support staff in assigned project-based work.

Requirements

• Normally requires a 2-year degree in Agriculture or equivalent of 2 years or more of related work experience in the agronomy industry.
• Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, skill development, and willingness to train.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently and overnight.
• Occasionally exposed or required to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.), noisy conditions, working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures, and may be required to work at varying heights.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
