Job Summary
The Department of Economic Security, Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS) seeks an experienced and highly motivated individual to serve as a Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) with the Workforce Solutions Administration (WSA). This position engages, advises, prepares, and matches job seekers with Arizona businesses and assists businesses in meeting their workforce needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess Skills, Abilities, Work History, Employment Barriers, and Career Interests
- Retention Follow-Up
- Develop Employment Plans
- Determine Eligibility for Services
- Provide Information on Labor Market, In-Demand Industries, and Occupations
- Identify and Coordinate with Formal and Informal Resources to Remove Barriers, Develop Skills, and Achieve Employment
- Perform Outreach and Case Management Functions
- Engage, Assess, Advise, and Assist Arizona Businesses in Meeting Their Workforce Needs Through On-Site Employer Visits
- Provide Information on Labor Market, In-Demand Industries, and Occupations
- Use Databases to Register, Refer Job Seekers, Enter Job Orders, Document Job Seeker & Employer Relationship Management, Complete and Maintain Accurate Records and Reports for Performance and Reporting Requirements in Accordance with Quality and Quantity Standards Mandated by Various Laws, Rules, and Federal Regulations
- Provide Customer Service, Program Information to Job Seekers, Colleagues, and the Business Community, Maintain Positive Working Relationships with Local Partners, Community Organizers, and Other Agency Personnel, Resolve Customer Issues and Complaints, Utilize Veteran Priority of Services (VPOS) for Veteran Clients (As Applicable)
