About the role
Work under the direction of a Foreman to lay out, install, maintain, and repair all types of piping systems for maintenance, tank, and new construction. This position requires a high level of skill in industrial maintenance, turnaround, construction, or mechanical environments.
Responsibilities

- Perform duties within precise limits or standards of accuracy (Quality Control).
- Collaborate effectively with peers, supervision, and the QA/QC Department.
- Interpret drawings and sketches, plan work procedures, and select materials in accordance with engineering standards.
- Lay out work, calculate dimensions, and create sketches of piping systems as needed.
- Set up and operate bending, threading, and cutoff equipment; use hand tools or torches to shape, prepare, and fabricate pipe.
- Assemble and test a variety of piping components.
- Set up pipe for welding or special type joints.
- Fasten hangers and supports.
- Handle or arrange for the transport of materials, equipment, and tools to and from job sites.
- Prepare reports of work performed.
- Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
- Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in refinery maintenance, turnaround, or construction.
- General knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Must pass the Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
- Complete Company’s Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and Client/Site-specific training.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain active status within the approved drug testing program.
- Must pass a background check.
- TWIC & HHFT card required.
- Verification of 8,000 craft-related hours.
- Graduated journeyperson status preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting as part of regular duties.
- Must be able to hear, speak, understand, and communicate effectively.
- May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional work at heights, climbing ladders and stairways, and working from platforms while utilizing proper fall protection and safety protocols.
- Capable of working outside in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind) for long periods, up to 12 hours a day.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
Pay
Hiring range: $48.00 to $65.00 per hour. The full range for this position is $48.00 to $65.00 per hour, available over time. Pay rate depends on qualifications, prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, and internal equity.
