Local Jones Restaurant Host/Hostess

About the role

We are a neighborhood restaurant in Cherry Creek, CO featuring genuine and reliable fare in a socially engaging atmosphere. This team member is the host who welcomes others to the heart of the house and ensures team members have all the items they need to enjoy their meals while facilitating a well-organized dining atmosphere.

Their primary role includes removing dirty dishes, cleaning tables, ensuring tables have clean linens, and serving drinks.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner, always adhering to service standards.
• Monitor guests' seating, planning 2 steps ahead to ascertain both guests’ and the restaurant’s needs to maximize service flow.
• Use and accurately maintain the restaurant reservation system, including proper table status, rotations, cover counts, and guest notes.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and crisp environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, contributing to the overall ambiance and presentation of the restaurant.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant highly preferred.
• Approachable and personable personality.
• Ability to be patient with guests' requests.
