Local Delivery Driver (CDL B)

About the Role

As a Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Brookfield, WI, you will deliver products to customers, making an average of 10-12 stops per day. Your responsibilities include handling freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. You will also build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals and continuously learn about Linde’s operations to support the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers with an average of 10-12 stops per day.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Complete hazardous material shipping orders in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify and report the need for timely vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers.
• Continuously expand knowledge of Linde’s business operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
• Two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School.
• Valid Class B CDL.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Hazmat endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years.
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
• Two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification.
