About the role
A local hospital in Newton Lower Falls, Massachusetts, is seeking a Stepdown RN contract nurse for a 13-week duration working 36 hours per week, rotating between 12-hour shifts during the day and night.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in managing patients recovering from surgery or acute illness
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress and communicate with families and other healthcare providers
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Two years of recent acute care experience
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for electronic health records (EHR)
