Local Contract Respiratory Therapist - $47-51 per hour

About the role

Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week duration at 36 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts during the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services under the supervision of a physician.
• Administer treatments such as nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Assess patient needs and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Document patient care activities and progress in medical records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Iowa.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using respiratory therapy equipment and technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory physiology and pathophysiology.
• Skilled in administering and monitoring respiratory treatments.
