Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Respiratory Therapist for a local contract job in Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services under the supervision of a physician.
• Administer treatments such as nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory interventions.
• Assess patients' respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Iowa.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of advanced respiratory techniques and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Completion of required continuing education credits.

Skills

• Proficiency in using respiratory therapy equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with a start date of July 28, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks.
