About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a local contract nursing job in Burlington, Iowa.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care services under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Assess patients' conditions and document observations accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Prepare and assist with patient transfers to other departments as needed.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Experience in PACU preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- At least one year of relevant clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Pay
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
