About the role
Medical Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Hartford, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures under the supervision of anesthesiologists and surgeons
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Manage sterile field and equipment during surgeries
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- Experience in operating room setting preferred
- Knowledge of surgical techniques and protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current CPR certification
Skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in operating room equipment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
