Unit Information

  • Beds: 7
  • Staff: Varies on volume, clinical coordinator for all specialty service lines
  • Type of Staff: Rooms are staffed with 1 tech 1 RN or 2 RNs
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Equipment: Robotics, Spine, Vascular
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Call Requirements: On-call is required of 1-2 shifts during the week and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period. Must be able to Scrub and a circulator that knows all service lines. Rotating weekends are a possibility.

Typical Hiring Profile

  • Must Have:
    • ACLS, BLS
    • 2 years current experience in acute OR setting, ortho, spine and joint replacement experience
    • Knee and Hip replacement experience
  • Preferences:
    • PALS, CNOR
    • any Charge experience

Position Details

  • RN Responsibilities: Observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care of all patients, proficient charting, multi-tasking, critical thinker, excellent bedside manner
  • Dress Code: OR scrubs provided by the unit
