About the role

Dow is seeking a part-time cooperative education (co-op) position in Midland, MI for a highly-committed college student enrolled in a nearby accredited college or university. This is a long-term, year-round position for at least one full year, while the student is taking classes towards an undergraduate degree.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, scanning, storing, and organizing documents
  • Supporting Remediation Leaders with document relocation
  • Assisting the ER&R Admin with Document and Records management
  • Supporting the Document and Records management improvement team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED and enrolled in an accredited college or university close to the Midland Dow site, pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Successfully complete a minimum of 6 credit hours per term during both the Fall and Winter terms
  • Able to begin work within 4-6 weeks of the job offer and work year-round at least 20 hours each week during regular business hours (8am-5pm, Mon-Fri)
  • Commit to the role for at least 1 full calendar year before completing classes for your undergraduate degree or transferring out of the area
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality in commuting to work daily or at least 2 days a week; therefore, dependable transportation, dedication, and time management skills are required
  • The ability to work legally in the United States is a requirement for the U.S. based position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Pursuing an Admin, Business, Environmental Science, Geology, or Chemistry major may be beneficial
  • Strong GPA of 3.000+

Skills

  • Administrative & Organizational Support: Provides reliable administrative support by managing requests, maintaining documentation, and developing tools and templates to support team meetings and workflows.
  • Data Preparation & Analysis Support: Assists with preparing, organizing, and collating data to support analysis and informed decision-making within the learning organization.
  • Digital Tools & SharePoint Management: Maintains and updates SharePoint sites while effectively using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to support team needs.
  • Time Management & Initiative: Demonstrates strong time management, initiative, and follow-through while balancing academic responsibilities and delivering high-quality work independently and collaboratively.
  • Collaboration & Professionalism: Works independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility, cooperation, and a positive attitude.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates who receive a job offer will be required to pass a background check and drug screen/medical evaluation and will verify school-related requirements and I-9 documentation before being hired into Dow.
  • Any current Dow college co-ops wishing to transfer into this role must have been in their current role at least one full year, must have at least one full year left before graduating or transferring out of the area, and must have supervisor approval before applying to each Dow co-op job posting.
  • We do not offer relocation for this position.
