Local CDL B Driver

SRS CDL Drivers ensure safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verify inventory, follow safety protocols, and maintain high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage-free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or manually, handling items up to 100 lbs.
• Work in varied weather conditions, noisy environments, and fast-paced schedules.
• Read and interpret job-related documents in English.
• Travel within a 200-mile radius—no overnight stays.
• Occasional yard support and on-site coordination.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Must be 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat).
• Pass background checks, drug tests, and E-Verify.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse verification required.
• Physically capable of long hours driving and handling materials.
• Effective communication in English.
• DOT Medical Certificate and FMCSA Registration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries and fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Certifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL B) with Air Brakes Endorsement (required).
• Current DOT Medical Certificate (required).
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration (required).
