About the role
Arlo Hotels is seeking a dynamic Lobby Host to join their team in Miami. This position is part of the Front Desk team and is responsible for creating a memorable guest experience through check-in and out services, luggage assistance, and general guest interaction.
Responsibilities
- Treat guests with courtesy and respect in various situations
- Connect with guests daily, providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints
- Report guest concerns or comments to the Front Desk Supervisor/Duty Manager
- Establish and develop long-term customer relationships, providing value and profitability
- Create an inviting atmosphere for guests
- Coordinate and multitask in an active environment
- Assist with summoning the third-party valet service to park guests’ vehicles
- Assist with summoning cabs for guests and clients
- Maintain eye contact with guests and use guests' names during conversations
- Greet and welcome guests, opening and holding doors for them
- Assist guests with kiosk check-in, entering information, correcting inaccuracies, posting charges, completing daily high balance checks, checking groups and tours in and out, selling the hotel, updating guest profiles, and escorting guests to their rooms
- Assist with luggage assistance, securing and storing luggage, retrieving luggage for departing guests, lifting luggage, and using bell carts to assist guests
- Escort guests to their rooms, familiarizing them with in-room facilities, conducting guest orientation, coordinating with Front Desk for room moves, and assisting with guest requests, errands, deliveries, and deliveries of packages
- Provide Concierge services to guests, investigating guest charges to resolve complaints, checking messages and mail, booking guest reservations, up-selling rooms, and assisting with guest luggage
- Balance cash daily, depositing received cash, ensuring all billing and paperwork are done in accordance with Accounting standards, and properly handling sensitive and confidential guest material and information
- Accept advance deposits for guests and post the advance to guests' accounts, making change, and balancing the personal and/or individual floating bank
Requirements
- Minimum of Hospitality, Retail, or Services-related industries experience preferred
- Able to stand for periods of time (up to 6 hours)
- Efficient in computer and typing skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs
